Fees and Rebates

In an effort to keep costs reasonable for families, our charge below the scheduled fee for standard psychological consultations recommended by the Australian Psychological Society:

• Standard Psychological Consultation (50+ minutes)
• Dr Rachael Macdonald - $220
• Kate Ward - $200
• Gillian Ash - $175
• NDIS Psychological Therapy Consultation
• Standard NDIS rates apply (currently $232.99 per hour)

• Neurotherapy treatment - From $55 per 30 minute session (Call for more information)

• Psychological Assessment - Cost for assessment will vary with the length of time and complexity of assessment required. Please contact the clinic for a quote.
• Brain Mapping - Costs vary between basic and complex Brain Mapping. Please contact the clinic for a quote.
• Medicare rebates apply where applicable. Unfortunately, we do not provide Bulk Billing services.

• Cancellation Fees for Late Cancellation and Fail to Attend an appointment may apply.

Medicare:

• Medicare rebates are available with referral ($98.95 per session) from General Practitioners (GP's), Paediatricians or Psychiatrists for clients with a current Mental Health Care Plan.
• Up to 10 sessions are available under a Mental Health Care Plan.
• For more information, refer to the Better Access to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and General Practitioners through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (Better Access) initiative.
• If Medicare rebates are not required, then no Doctor's referral is necessary.
• Medicare rebates are generally not available for assessment services or neuroscience services. However, Medicare rebates may be available for some assessment services. e.g., Autism assessment with a specialist referral for under 25 year olds.

• Rebates from various Private Health Insurers may apply. (Please contact your health insurer to discuss any issues regarding rebates that may apply).
• Medicare Rebates and Private Health Insurance rebates can be processed at Unique Brains through HICAPS at the time of the appointment.

• TAC generally covers the cost of reasonable and necessary treatment, with no out of pocket expenses for clients.

• Workcover generally covers the cost of reasonable and necessary treatment, with no out of pocket expenses for clients.
